The Southfield Lathrup Marching Chargers have a longstanding tradition of superiority. Many Chargers have reaped the benefits of hard work, commitment, professionalism, and musicality. We are chartered to:

• establish a closer relationship between the home and the music activities of the school so as to develop and create an atmosphere of unity and interest of all parties concerned.
• provide the means of coordinating the interest of citizens of the community served by the Southfield Lathrup High School in the development and promotion of music activities of students.
• assist in providing financial support for activities and music equipment (not provided for in the regular school budget).
• conduct fund-raising activities so that the above can be carried out.

In 2006-2007 we stand to have the largest marching band ever and to send a considerable number of students to festivals and competitions. To accomplish this we need the help and support of all music parents.
